Yesterday was
dong zhi (
winter solstice festival)... Every year, my mum will make
tang yuan(dunno wat it's called in english) but its main ingredient is glutinous rice flour. But this year it was me & my sis who made it coz my mum was not allowed 2 do it as my grandpa juz passed away recently. According to the old people, eat
tang yuan will make u grow older by a year. Frankly, i'm not so sure whether we get older by a year everytime we eat
tang yuan or we get older for
every tang yuan we eat. If the latter one was correct (which i assume it's definitely not) then i'm oredi more than
100 yrs old.LOL. Anyway,
tang yuan is readily available out there and we can easily buy it. However, there's nothing more meaningful than making them urself. It tasted really delicious when u finally cooked it with
tong sui (sweet dessert soup or simply/literally sugar water).

So, there're only 4 colours here dis year. We used 2 have blue, brown and orange as well. They taste really great, smooth & sweet~~~
